Intimacy Coach & Psychiatrist | Relationship & Sexual Wellness
My Approach: Coaching + Therapy
I blend coaching structure with trauma-informed psychotherapy. We clarify values, nervous-system cues, and relationship goals, then translate them into weekly experiments you can try between sessions. Depending on your needs, we may include mindfulness, somatic regulation, sex-education, and medication consultation for anxiety, mood, sleep, or attention. Sessions are collaborative and shame-free; I work with individuals or couples, and coordinate with your therapist or medical team when helpful. The aim is practical progress—not perfection—so connection feels steadier and more authentic.
Evidence-Based Skills for Closer Relationships
Skill building can include emotional literacy, repair conversations, and conflict de-escalation tools. We might use DBT skills for emotion regulation and distress tolerance, EFT-informed attachment work, communication frameworks like speaker-listener, and sex therapy strategies for desire discrepancy or pain. We’ll practice consent language, pacing, and curiosity, while addressing trauma triggers and avoidance loops. Over time, you’ll develop flexible boundaries, broaden your erotic map, and create rituals of connection that keep intimacy alive during real-world stress.
When Intimacy Feels Out of Reach
Intimacy touches more than sex; it includes trust, emotional safety, communication, and the ability to stay present with a partner. Stress, trauma, shame, performance pressure, medical issues, or mismatched desire can create distance. You may notice repeating fights, fear of abandonment or smothering, low desire, painful sex, erectile or arousal changes, or difficulty setting boundaries. As an intimacy coach and psychiatrist, I help you map the patterns beneath the symptoms and practice small, doable steps that build closeness without losing yourself.
Care Options in Los Angeles & Across California
Care is available in-office in Santa Monica, via telehealth across California. Some clients prefer short-term intimacy coaching to target specific goals; others choose ongoing care that integrates medication management and therapy. We will define clear milestones, track wins, and adjust your plan as life changes. Care can be short-term and goal-focused or a deeper process addressing patterns around desire, pleasure, trust, and communication. If you’re ready to rebuild trust, improve communication, and enjoy a more satisfying sex life, I’ll meet you where you are and guide the next right step.
