Borderline Personality

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a complex mental health condition characterized by intense emotions, unstable relationships, a shifting sense of identity, and difficulty managing impulses. Individuals with BPD may experience deep sensitivity to rejection, fear of abandonment, and rapid mood changes. From an integrative psychiatry perspective, BPD is understood as a condition shaped by a combination of early life experiences, trauma, nervous system dysregulation, and genetic or biological factors. Treatment focuses on building emotional resilience and self-regulation through evidence-based therapies like DBT, along with support from mindfulness practices, somatic work, trauma-informed care, and lifestyle interventions—all aimed at fostering stability, self-compassion, and meaningful connection.
